Best Strollers 2017
| July 2, 2018
Strollers are expensive – and if you are like me, you want to make sure you get all the right features for your needs at the right price point. As with many things (cars, college textbooks, etc.), shopping a model year older for a stroller may save you some money. A quick search of online retailers is showing 50-70% off the retail price (shown here) for top rated strollers for 2017 and 2016.
When it comes to strollers, the moms have spoken! I have compiled a list of about 20 “Best of 2017” lists for strollers from all the experts and this resulting list serves as my meta-analysis of features and pricing from each of the most searched lists for strollers in 2017. This means that the strollers in this list each appeared in the top 10 and top 20 of each of the lists I encountered, so this list will give you a quick idea of the top rated strollers, why each of them is a favorite (best lightweight stroller vs. best all-around stroller, etc.), and pricing. You may want to stay tuned for a similar meta-analysis for the best strollers of 2018. Here we go.

UPPAbaby 2017 Cruz – $499 — Best all around stroller 2017, Also deserving to be in the top 5 spots is the UPPAbaby 2017 Vista at $839. The Cruz and the Vista are kind of tied in that number one spot for strollers in 2017. I could list it separately as 2nd or 3rd here, but your choice is either going to be between an UPPAbaby brand stroller and the other brands (such as the Nuna at #2), or between these two models of UPPAbaby stroller. It all depends on your functionality needs. The Cruz is a bit more lightweight and compact than the Vista, and the result is a bit more affordable stroller – likely earning it a better rating than the Vista at the better price point.
Nuna Mixx2 2017 – $599 – Best seat on the market 2017 The Mixx2 is very competitive for the best all-around stroller and the top two spots (brand-wise) belong to UPPAbaby and Nuna. See also from this brand the Nuna Tavo at $349, which deserves an honorable mention for this list, coming in at a bit more affordable price point.
Britax B-Ready 2017 — $499 – Britax comes in as another top 3 contender for best all-around stroller 2017 rounding out all the Best of lists. You should notice the price point of $499 is popular and reasonable for a stroller that can do everything and this model is actually competitive with the more expensive UPPAbaby Vista 2017 ($839) model with many convertible features. See also the Britax B-Agile 2017 stroller, which also deserves to be on this list, at $270, it is competitive with our #6 pick for the best stroller in the lightweight category of 2017.

BOB Revolution Pro/Flex 2017 – $499 — Best jogging stroller 2017 – The BOB Revolution Pro and Flex 2017 are the best-rated strollers in their category. Also noteworthy is the competitive $499 price point that is around what most of the top 5 list picks retail for, and this brand belongs in the top 5 all-around (even though it is a more niche category).
Bugaboo Donkey 2 2017 – $1,329 – The Bugaboo brand strollers do not make it as high on the lists (probably due to their much higher price points), but they are conspicuously present on each list (probably due to the quality of the strollers and the fact that they can “do it all”). The Bugaboo Donkey 2 is rated the best double stroller of 2017. See also the Bee5, the Runner, the Buffalo, and the Cameleon ranging from $719 to over $2000 with contenders in each category and a range of customization options.
GB Pockit Stroller 2017 – $280 – The GB Pockit is hands down the most compact stroller ever. It earns the highest ratings in 2017 for best lightweight stroller. The price point of $280 is competitive with the Britax B-Agile ($270) in this category, but what wins it for the GB Pockit is its more compact fold.
4moms Moxi Stroller 2017 – $700 – The 4moms brand is making leads the field in innovation. This brand is on all of the “Best of” lists for the most innovative strollers, and at a very reasonable price. The highlights of these strollers include pathway lighting and brake lighting, self-charging generators in the rear wheels, and LCD dashboards which track distance, speed, calories burned, and more.
