Best Car Seat Stroller Combos
| July 2, 2018

What is the best car seat stroller combo on the market? There are several car seat stroller combos that make great travel systems for your family. Many of these strollers are also on all the “Best of” lists for 2016-2018 for all around or all-purpose strollers, so you will want to review the other features of these combos as strollers before you commit to one.
For this list of best car seat stroller combos, I compiled a list of about 10 articles from experts ranking travel systems and the car seat stroller combos that were consistently ranked in the top of each of these lists were ranked in descending order of converging ratings. I also took into consideration whether the stroller was ranked in the top of the “Best of” lists over the past few years (about another 20 articles listing the best strollers of the year). The resulting “meta-analysis” I give below will give you a good idea of the highest rated car seat stroller options, their pricing, and why people love them. Keep in mind I list retail prices for these, but do a little shopping around and you can find them for 50% or more off these retail prices.

Best car seat stroller combos (and their prices and features):
UPPAbaby Cruz – $499 – This stroller also made my #1 spot for best all-around stroller of 2017. The Cruz is lightweight and compact, it has a ton of convertible features, and in addition to being ranked the best all-purpose stroller, it gets ranked the best car seat and stroller combo by independent raters. It has a great price point at $499. It has adapters that allow its frame to be used with other brand car seats on this list. The reason it is so highly rated as a car seat system? Ease of installation/ease of use and extendable sunshade and handlebar.
Nuna Mixx2 – $599 –The Mixx2 was also #2 on my list of best strollers for 2017, but it does not price competitively with the UPPAbaby Cruz because its Pipa car seat that it pairs with is a separate purchase. This option is ranked by travelers as more of a splurge as a system. Since the seat is rated so comfortable, the splurge is justifiable, and this system is still priced competitively with brands like Bugaboo (which did not make the list).
Britax B-Agile — $270 – Britax also rounded out at #3 for best all-around stroller of 2017. These strollers are widely cited as being able to do everything you could want a stroller to do. The Britax B-Agile (and B-Safe) is competitive as best lightweight and compact stroller as well as being a good all around stroller that can do it all. Independent raters put it in the top 3 for travel systems as well. This price point makes it my favorite on the list. Just note that spots 1-3 are all ranked #1 for travel systems on at least one “Best of” list. If we rank these as a “Best Buy” list, my money would go to Britax, then UPPAbaby, then Nuna in the top 3 spots.
Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System — $379 – While this system may not have come in highly ranked as a best stroller, it is definitely on the top 5 of all the travel system/ car seat stroller combo lists. Several sites listed it #1. The pros of this system is that it is easy to detach and to install the car seat portion and it has a lot of important safety features. One con that is mentioned by raters that may keep it from being one of the best strollers on the market is that many users find it hard to steer as a stroller.
